Andrew Reyna

Productions Coordinator

show/hide BIO

Andrew Reyna began interning at Cove City Sound Studios after graduating from SAE (School for Audio Engineering) in Manhattan. A true creative spirit, his outlets have always been in music and entertainment. As the lead singer for his own band he quickly learned that to be successful in the music industry he had to do more than write great songs, he had to market the band using every available outlet. He now brings that hands-on knowledge to Cove City’s recording label, Brown Dog Records. As their Productions Coordinator his responsibilities include social networking, graphic arts for marketing materials, merchandising, photography and videography. New artists utilizing Cove City have access to a peer performer who can help them navigate the often confusing world of internet branding. Additionally, Andrew continues to invest time in the role that brought him to Cove City and has been fortunate enough to assist on multiple sessions, honing the craft he went to school for. Through creativeness, resourcefulness and determination Andrew prides himself on being the “go to guy” at Cove City Sound Studios and Brown Dog Records.

Chris McDonald joins the Cove City team with a bachelor of science in economics from The College of the Holy Cross and independent advanced study in music production. After paying his dues as a dedicated and extremely swift learning intern at Cove, he has gone on to work sessions as an official engineer and song producer for the studio. Chris has been writing songs - independently, and with Eren - for Cove City clients and other artists and companies. His work runs the gamut, ranging from soulful pop songs such as Sophie Lynn's "I Don't Want to Wait" to powerful, up tempo instrumentals used for CBS basketball and football. Merging his vast knowledge of pop culture aspects of the industry, his technical skills with the best equipment - old school and new - and his drive as a balanced individual when it comes to business and creative expression, Chris brings an invaluable combination of assets to the table. Er... Console.

Stephen Wall

Engineer / Musician / Producer

show/hide BIO

Hi there.
As an engineer, Steve is as comfortable on a RadioShack cassette recorder as he is on a Neve, API, or SSL. He can make the most out of a 2" Tape Machine, or 200 Pro Tools tracks. Utilizing the right combination of technical mastery, knowledge of acoustics, and “I really am on your side!” personality to allows the artists he works with to stay comfortable, focused, creative, and well… happy. You are going to sound good, check that off the list, now let’s make music.
Fortunate enough to have apprenticed with, and now collaborate with one of his favorite engineers, John Siket (Sonic Youth, Phish, Dave Matthews Band), Steve has been able to hone his love of music into a craft that regularly satisfies artists beyond their own expectations. They sum it up and go on to say “Steve has huge ears and a big heart…” and, “Unlike a lot of engineers/producers you’ll work with, Steve is actually a great musical talent…”
Select engineering and/or production credits include: Semi Precious Weapons, Matisyahu, CHAPPO, Peter Murphy, Elizabeth & The Catapult, Meshell Ndegeocello, Mark Guiliana, Tim Lefebvre, Jason Lindner, Chris Morissee, Mother Feather, Josh Dion. As well as upcoming releases by: Jeff Taylor, Fancy Colors, Lucius, Evan Marien, Dana Hawkins, Luke Gyure.
As a musician, apart from handling Keyboard, Guitar, and Background Vocal duties in Jeff Taylor’s band (Rockwood Music Hall/Atlantic), he has been teaching and scoring drums and percussion, as well as band arrangements for all genres, since 2000. He’s also had the great privilege of being a featured drummer in 2 Carnegie Hall performances and thinks Folktronica is totally rad. You can also catch him playing rugby with local NY and NJ clubs. Fully versed in musical theory, and an accomplished drummer/songwriter/guitarist/vocalist, Steve frequents NY & NJ based studios, and the indie music scene in Brooklyn & the LES.
